MATRiSEB is seeking a Structural Health Monitoring Engineer with experience in sensor technology, data analysis, finite element modeling and structural analysis. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in structural health monitoring applications and projects such as bridges, high-rises, hospitals and industrial buildings. This full-time position is available in Ankara. The following is an outline of requirements and qualifications.
Role:
- The candidate is responsible for providing structural health monitoring services and understating the state of the art Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) solutions and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop codes and algorithms based on SHM theory and scientific research.
- Prepare reports documenting engineering analyses. Communicate results to manager and makes technical presentations as required.
- Develop sensor installation procedures and documents.
- Review engineering drawings and perform sensor placement study.
- May need to travel to job site and perform investigations, take measurements and communicate with clients.
- Provide prompt and courteous troubleshooting and technical support to clients.
- Assist in producing training materials and multimedia materials.
- Develop finite element models of structures using commercially available software, and perform structural analysis.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. in Engineering (Civil, Aeronautics, Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience) with at least 2 years of experience or M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering.
- Must have a good understanding of principles of engineering mechanics and dynamics.
- Experience in sensors is preferred.
- Experience in coding and developing signal processing algorithms, finite element modeling and analysis are desirable.
- Ability to work independently and in large multi-disciplinary teams.
