MATRiSeb is seeking to hire Structural Engineering Analyst with experience in engineering mechanics.  This position offers the opportunity to participate in challenging and unique projects in the areas of nuclear power plant structures, wind turbine structures, and structural health monitoring applications.  This full-time position is available in Ankara.  The following is an outline of requirements and qualifications.


Role:

• Under general supervision with limited review, this position is responsible for determining and developing effective solutions for wide range of engineering problems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop finite element models of structures using commercially available software, and perform structural analysis including calculation of loads, stress analysis, fatigue analysis, and vibration analysis, dynamic and seismic analyses. 
• Perform seismic and dynamic evaluations of nuclear power structures, wind turbines, systems, and components using deterministic and probabilistic methods.
• Perform seismic soil-structure interaction analyses of nuclear power structures.
• Prepare calculations and reports documenting engineering analyses.
• Communicates results to manager and makes technical presentations as required. 
• May coordinate segments of a specific project and may have frequent inter-organization and customer contact on difficult technical issues. 
• May need to travel to job site and perform investigations, take measurements and communicate with clients.

Job Requirements:

• M.S. or PhD in Structural/Earthquake/Geotechnical Engineering.
• Must have 1 - 5 years of experience.
• Must have a good understanding of principles of engineering mechanics and structural dynamics.
• Experience in reinforced concrete, structural steel, structural composites and relevant building code is preferred.
• Familiarity with stress, fracture and fatigue analysis of structures is required.
• Experience in probability theory is desirable.
• Experience in soil-structure interaction analysis is desirable. •
• Working knowledge with FEA tools such as ANSYS, FEMAP/NASTRAN or ABAQUS software is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and in large multi-disciplinary teams.
